Designed to simplify installation while maximising protection, the Alpha WSER50 30/17 Cassette Awning Motor automatically sets its closed position based on fabric tension, delivering precise stopping and long-term reliability.

During setup, the installer manually sets the outer (fully extended) limit wirelessly using the remote. When the awning is closed for the first time, the motor automatically detects resistance to determine the inner limit. After this learning cycle, the motor will stop in the exact closed position by detecting a 25% increase in resistance. For larger or heavier cassette awnings, this detection threshold can be increased to 50%, 75%, or 100%, giving installers full control over tensioning behaviour.

The motor is compatible with Sun/Wind Sensors and Motion Sensors (RS001, RS002, Alpha motion sensors). If a sensor heartbeat pulse is not received for 30 minutes while the awning is extended, the motor will automatically close the awning to protect against sensor failure or flat batteries—an essential safety feature for exposed outdoor installations.
