Overview

These Terms & Conditions apply to all products, services, and purchases made through The Blind Crew website and related sales channels. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

The Blind Crew supplies DIY electric blind motors, retrofit systems, accessories, and related products Australia-wide. Our products are designed for DIY installation or retrofit into existing blinds, subject to suitability and correct application.


Products & Intended Use

Our products are supplied for use in residential and commercial premises in Australia.

Products may include:

  • Battery-powered electric blind motors
  • 240V hardwired electric blind motors
  • Retrofit motor kits
  • Remotes, hubs, accessories, and components

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that products are suitable for their blinds, tubes, applications, and intended use prior to installation.


Electrical Installation – 240V Motors

Some products supplied by The Blind Crew operate on 240V mains power.

All 240V electric blind motors must be connected to the premises by a qualified, licensed electrician, in accordance with:

  • Australian electrical standards
  • State and territory regulations
  • Local council or building requirements

The cost, coordination, and responsibility for engaging a qualified electrician is entirely the responsibility of the customer.

The Blind Crew:

  • Does not provide on-site electrical installation services
  • Is not responsible for electrical works performed by third parties
  • Accepts no liability for damage, faults, or non-compliance arising from improper electrical installation

Battery-powered motors do not require hardwiring and are installed according to supplied instructions.


DIY Installation Responsibility

Many products supplied are designed for DIY installation.

By purchasing DIY products, you acknowledge that:

  • Installation is performed at your own discretion and risk
  • You are responsible for following supplied instructions
  • You are responsible for confirming measurements, compatibility, and suitability

The Blind Crew is not liable for issues arising from:

  • Incorrect measurements
  • Incorrect installation
  • Incompatible blind systems
  • Modifications made during or after installation

Orders & Configuration

Some products are:

  • Custom-selected
  • Pre-configured
  • Pre-assembled
  • Matched to customer-provided measurements, tube sizes, or photos

Once an order has been confirmed or prepared, it may not be eligible for cancellation or change.

Customers are responsible for ensuring all information supplied is accurate and complete at the time of order.


Pricing & Payments

All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.

Prices may change without notice but will not affect confirmed orders.

Payment must be received in full before orders are processed or dispatched.


Shipping & Delivery

The Blind Crew supplies products Australia-wide.

Orders remain the responsibility of The Blind Crew while in transit and until delivered to the customer’s nominated address.

Once delivery is confirmed at the correct address provided at checkout, responsibility for the goods transfers to the customer.

Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and may vary due to carrier delays, location, or unforeseen circumstances.


Returns & Refunds

Returns and refunds are handled in accordance with:

  • Our Returns & Refunds Policy
  • Australian Consumer Law

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted for:

  • Custom-configured products
  • Pre-assembled or programmed systems
  • Installed, used, or altered electrical products

Warranties

Products may be supplied with manufacturer warranties.

All Alpha Motors supplied by The Blind Crew are supported in Australia and include:

  • 7-year motor warranty
  • 2-year battery warranty (where applicable)

Warranties do not cover:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Electrical work not performed by a licensed electrician
  • Damage caused by misuse, modification, or incompatible systems

Warranty claims are assessed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and Australian Consumer Law.


Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Blind Crew is not liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential loss
  • Loss resulting from incorrect installation or electrical work
  • Property damage caused by third-party trades or installers
  • Loss arising from incorrect measurements or product selection

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights provided under Australian Consumer Law.


Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to:

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure
  • Compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage

These rights exist independently of any manufacturer warranty.


Changes to Terms

The Blind Crew reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will apply to future orders from the date of publication.
